Looking forward to seeing this bird in the sky, I saw/made enough wing bits but haven't seen 1 in the air yet.

*p.s. if it crashes I've not been anywhere near it, in fact I wasn't even there.

I know where ya mean!! My mates are in Broughton; all did bottom skin but ones just been moved to top skin. Llays a stones throw from me

I was in an Airbus A319 earlier.

Just throwing it out there. You dont realise what amazing machines airoplanes are until you fly in one.

Saw one of these on one of my trips back and forth across the country. This one was taken, by me, through the window of my taxiing plane at LAX. The pic doesn't really convey the sheer size of these things!

So do you do the work before or after broughton get them?

it was before, I started out with a lump of aluminium the length and width of a wing and about 8" thick, I ended up with a kind of tray with lots of compartments for fuel and stuff, (you could pick the finished thing up by hand), the machine made 2 at a time, so I would do 2 of 1 side then 2 of the other, 2 would take about 40 hrs to machine though. the rest of the wing is built around this tray.
