Who works anymore.......retirement is a wonderful invention.....however after a hard day of doing very little, I like to visit the pub and enjoy the company of friends, then come on here and wind a few people up.......

FFS PETE. Got me dead annoyed that.

Semi retired, sort of, so do my deliveries, do the crossword, pick up Mrs R from work, drink some ale and wine, eat supper, watch bobbins on telly.

Oh, actively Mod this place,,,,,,,,yeah.

I'd go with this. However in my recent retired week ice been suffering a dose of the flu. Thus isn't man flu, it's sit in the bed and contemplate writing a will flu. It's mainly gone now apart from a really irritating rattle on my chest that won't go.
I got so annoyed I decided to walk down to the chemists, about 3/4 mile away to get something to shift it. Even though the missus was home she didn't offer a lift.
Opposite is the post office, so I picked up a parcel I had a card for. This parcel was a 5000kg box of bird food the missus had ordered. I struggled home with it, with the tail end of my flu, smelling vaguely of eucalyptus that was seering my lungs in the ice air, and in the snow, being followed by a flock of something looking it had come from a Hitchcock film to find I'd been locked out as she'd taken the ruddy dog for a walk.
Sake.
Beer night.

How do you relax ? For me, a small port reinvigorates aching limbs ; tonight, Cockburns Special Reserve, otherwise a smoky malt or Welsh rarebit. For some reason, a peal of church bells is smoothing.

But sometimes you want a bit of oomph.

Cheers ! :pint2:

Liking this post just for The Monks. The whole story of that band is fantastic and their music sounds like no other.
