After 14 games (previous seasons)

Thanks for posting this.

Been fuming/feeling disappointed with all the dropped points personally, but seeing the actual point comparisons (and that soon we might be able to field our first XI again in the coming weeks!), things aren't as bad as they seem. Upward and onward!

When you look at it like that it's a good start. With injured players comming back I hope we can improve results with more wins than we've been getting. The difficult part will be getting through the transfer window intact, keeping our best and adding some Moyes masterstrokes. Happy at the moment. Come on you blues!

Great bit of info this. Its my first "proper season" so to speak after casually following Everton in my 20's and early 30's but deciding to go "full time" with the purchase of the season ticket and everton mug and i'm absolutely loving it. Agree with Ihaters we;re having a very good season. We're not that far off and we're playing well. be nice to stop going behind though - and that is my only grumble.

When you look at the likes of Aston Villa, the RS, QPR, Newcastle, and sunderland i do indeed count my lucky stars.

The quality of football has been outstanding, but taking that into account the points return has been pretty dire.

It's okay saying that we're doing better than we normally are, but we're normally playing dogsh*t football at this point in a season. We're playing fantastic, versatile, attacking football and somehow we can't seem to win. It's not easy to be pleased about a 'good start' anymore.

In 07-08, arguably our best year, we were on an outrageous run at this point with 6 wins on the spin and 15 games unbeaten. We'll have to hit that level again soon.

For me, i am positive not just because of how well we are playing, but because outside United and City, the rest of the usual Top 4 teams are all struggling

I honestly don't think it matters if we're up against good or poor teams!!

We struggle more picking up points we should than shouldn't.

And tbh give me a midfield with Gibson in it and an attacking 4 of jelavic, fellaini, pienaar and Mirallas and I honestly don't fear any team.

If we'd been lucky enough to keep Gibson and mirallas fit up to now I think we'd be sat 3/4th right now.

West brom caught us out like they have many others.
Reading and Norwich are the really bad results from this season and they came whilst we were very depleted as a squad!

I'm still confident tbh. A lot of football to be played yet. Don't wanna jinx us like but I think we could go all season un-defeated at goodison.
