Hey lads, been a while since I posted on GOT so please bear with me!
I currently live in Australia after moving from England at the age of 10, and have followed to blues ever since I can remember. At one point, I remember sitting by my Dad's mobile phone in the kitchen waiting for the goal updates via text message, as we couldn't go to the game nor watch it on tele.
Fast-forward 11 years, and I'm now a regular poster and contributor to the Everton Supporters Club Australia page (ESCA), whilst staying up until ungodly hours to watch the game. Please note that the group is mainly for blues based in Australia for meet ups, general Everton related chit chat and banter.
Now, one Si Currie, has found his way onto this page and causes nothing but havoc and disharmony among the group. If anything he's disheartening fans on the other side of the world by basically abusing them until they ether leave the group, stop contributing or worse, stop following Everton. This is a major problem in a group with over 1,200 members and if you're familiar with Australia at all,Liverpool fans are a dime a dozen so we need as many blues as we can find!
I guess I've gone the long winded way about saying this, but how on earth did you guys get him to leave the forum? Or how do you deal with him on game day? He spouts a fair bit of dross about a few people from this website on the page (has referenced chicoazul and ijjysmith a few times as well as talking [Poor language removed] about the forum itself) and claims to have not gone to a game since Martinez took over. Now I'm all for debate about the team and shooting someone's idea/theory down IF, you have solid evidence or a theory to back it up, but this guy just resorts to name calling an antagonising people. Last week we called someone's 1 year old child a [Poor language removed]. Again, if you're familiar with Australians, they don't shy away from a verbal onslaught so it's taking the focus away from our beloved team, and solely on the circus that is Simon.
Completely understandable if this thread is locked immediately, but we've tried everything we can to be accommodating and we're all starting to associate game day with his rants and abuse of everyone. Any advice or background information about him, however minuscule would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Tl;dr: Tell me how to [Poor language removed] Si Currie off from an Australian fan page. Any and all suggestions or insights welcome. Ta.
