Advice needed

Hello!
I need an advice from you, your help will be very appreciated.
I am the press officer of the Russian football club in the Second Division (third tier of Russian football) and I am trying to do something to bring more fans.
My question is about web sites like Facebook or Twitter. What they can give to the club if I will open the Official club page at this web sites? What advantages they can bring? What news do you read about Everton at the Facebook and other web sites?
