Hello. I'll be visiting Liverpool in early April and have tickets to see Everton away at Manchester United and home to Leicester City.

I've been to Goodison Park a few times but have never seen an away game in person. Does anyone have any advice as far as the do's and dont's of visiting Old Trafford? Mostly I am just looking for a bar to stop in before and after the game without dealing with too much hassle from the Man U fans.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

just 'have your wits about you,' I'm kind of presuming that you are visiting without a scouse accent ? in which case nobody will probably even realise you are a blue (unless you are attending in a morph suit or something), if it's city centre drinks then Canal Street is the place.
If staying in manc for the evening frivolities then there is a network of canals & pathways, however using them for short cuts isn't advised (look up 'The Pusher').
They are a bit of a different breed around Manc/Salford & if you are wearing the latest fashions or good trabs they'll be on to you straight away.

Your best drinking in Manchester City Centre then getting a tram, all the pubs by the ground are home fans only

Thanks. Yes, I'll be visiting with an American accent. Which probably helps since they have a big following of bandwagoners over here in the states. But I plan to wear Everton gear and I'm hoping to spend time at a bar with other Blues.

We always go to a boozer near Oxford Road called the Courtyard before United away, never had a problem in there. Has pool tables and a beer garden too.

The Salisbury rock pub , just next to Oxford Road train station is a good friendly pub, real ale and rock jukebox.

I wouldn't do that mate. Not at an away game. Aside from giving the game away to horrible Mancs it's just not the done thing really.

I wouldn't do that mate, thing is they do have a lot of nutters who don't like scousers, even with an American accent some small time no mark isn't always going to hang back and wait to hear you speak...etc Also are you in the Everton end ?

Edit, just noticed others have already said this lol either way enjoy the game!
