I would never send my kids to the army…. They come out brainwashed and unable to think for themselves half the time.
As long as he can find somewhere with decent co-workers and a good working environment is the key. Confidence can build quickly from that.Morning lids and lidettes - My missus has a 19 year old lad that has just finished full time education. He's a really shy, quite socially awkward lad (doesn't have many friends, a bit nerdy, hasn't had much 'life experience' - suffered from anxiety and other bits earlier on in life)
He's a fully qualified personal trainer - but lacking in confidence around this (mainly due to a large chunk of his learning being virtual rather than practical) and we've been trying to find a job for him that will help boost his confidence and get one foot onto the employment ladder
Eventually he'd like to become a full time trainer, but we think it's probably useful to get him started in employment for the routine, personal responsibility, time management elements etc
Does anybody have any suggestions for good first time job roles? Or know of any positions currently available?
Cheers
The next major world conflict will be India v China. Whether it turns into WW3 depends upon who else gets involved. It will still be planes, ships, tanks and foot soldiers.Nah. It will be fought by geeks on a keyboard.
I had a bit of social anxiety myself when I was a teenager, ironically after being a social butterfly up until age 12. Something went haywire around puberty I suppose. Only thing for it in my opinion is fighting your way through it. Socializing is key.Morning lids and lidettes - My missus has a 19 year old lad that has just finished full time education. Can't think of anyone who would throw their lot in with China. Perhaps North Korea. It could kick-off over the Taiwan situation. It will be China V India, Japan, United States, Australia, etc etc etc….. China will have a go at someone, then end up back in the rice field economy…..

Think these would be perfect for him. The description you've given fits like a glove. Fate if you will...Does anybody have any suggestions for good first time job roles? Or know of any positions currently available?
