Ad issue

Looks like a certain ad or ad type is causing the site to not load for me.

Happened a couple of times so I just kept loading new pages to cause it to happen again.

Can't find any more info on the ad as it's my phone and the page freezes when it stalls and the browser won't function.
Will boot up the pc and see if I can get more info

Just got a massive pop up ad on the home screen. Be careful @GrandOldTeam, Google are starting to penalise sites for intrusive ads that disrupt the user experience.

There's a discussion in the forum supporters forum which I use on occasion to get some opinion before going to the full forum.

Not arsed about Google trends, there won't be a user experience at all if there's no revenue to sustain the site.

That, and Google offer the exact same adverts themselves.

Oh, and it's Desktop only. Not mobile.

pop ups happening every now and then in the last 2 days, easily closed but cheltenham sky races abusing our forum in advertising is a bit naughty - I still click on the official adverts to support the GOT- not a problem but someone is getting in to your programme to display the pop ups -just thought I would let you know - never happened till the last 2 days!

As above and forum supporter thread, we're trialling one advert on desktop every 24 hours maximum...

Just had a Sky bet ad pop up when logging in. Skip and visit site type thing.. Is this how its going now? Even when I skipped to visit site it opened another window with sky bet in. :rant:
