A Solution!

I think it's a sound idea and, if the board would consider it, is at least worth trying.
Negativity is easy, having the balls to go out and actually try something different is much harder, and that doesn't just apply to buying a football club.

Hmm, read this today

Seems this sort of thing could well be illegal in America. Thankfully it's a bit better here

For a glimpse of what is possible, look at Britain, where securities laws are helpful to crowdfunding and several start-ups are vying to be the Facebook of finance. The year-old Funding Circle, a business-lending site based in London, raises more than $2.3 million each month for small businesses from individuals who can invest as little as $30 and earn an average yield of roughly 7.3 percent after fees. Those are loans; two other start-ups are applying the model to equity shares in small companies.

Couldn't this be a way back onto the board for some of the discontented previous members?

Actually, it doesn't sound like a half-bad idea. I'd gladly be willing to pay something like a hundred odd £ a year for membership if it was used in a responsible way. My only question is how do you make certain the money is earmarked for the club without an irresponsible person/persons getting ahold of them?

How come the club hasn't started something of the sort previously to generate funds? A traditional membership much like their Evertonia membership would surely lead to at least some generated funds. Coupled with discounts, badges or cards this should be a hit?

If the existing owners don't put any money in, and they don't take any money out then what is it that has kept them from the idea? Obviously a club like Barcelona has a much wider fanbase, but they to had to have started somewhere. Who's gonna be the one to step forward and spearhead the revolution!?
