A question to Everton fans!

Just wondering, do you think your club is being run to the best of its potential?

I feel that Everton is probably the fourth biggest club in England, at least in terms of number of league trophies won. In fact, Everton fan base is fantastic too, as is Newcastle's. But, as a Man Utd fan, personally I think Everton, with the power of the popularity of EPL has all over the world, should be one of the most profitable clubs in England and should be signing some top players. By top players, I mean world class, because every team, that has high ambition, needs to have, at the very least, one world class player. Right now, I just don't think Everton any one of that level.

Do you think fan ownership model, like the one Swansea has, would have helped Everton? What do you reckon?

Unless your a club like Utd or Liverpool you need a sugar daddy I think now mate. We can deffo improve on the marketing side of things, Elstone is very poor in marketing and getting us decent deals.

I love being patronised.

Personally I can't wait to see EFC branded tyres and a billboard on the ground saying "Yanmar: Official Diesel Engine of EFC" then I will know that we have sold our soul to the devil.

I actually think we are being run ok and that Tiny Tears is doing his best. At least he is true blue which can't be said for many club owners.

I LOL'd at that.

43 years old. Disgrace.

You feel?

Or rather that we are the 4th most successful club in the league.

9 titles, 5 cups, one European pot - vast majority of clubs, Chelsea included would kill for out honours list.

I said I "feel" because right now if you don't take the number of trophies into account, Chelsea, Man City are bigger clubs to the outside world, especially to the fellow players. Like Sanchez this year rejected Liverpool, but in our view Arsenal is smaller than Liverpool, right?

Did he just compare us to Newcastle ?

Mods! Mods!

Lol, you are underachievers like N'castle are. Hence, the comparison, but yes your club is bigger than the magpies.

It is run at the best potential to maximise the return on the sale for the major shareholders

Bayern, Barca are big proofs how fan ownership model helps make big clubs successful. Fans love the club like their children, shareholders or owners are there to profit. Even Swansea is doing great things by fan ownership.

I live in Munich, so I don't know deeply about Britain. Is Swansea bigger than Merseyside? How do you explain their success if we don't take into the ownership model into accounts?

No it's the comparison in fans. Newcastle fans are in the main deluded bells, second only to our neighbours.

I prefer us where we are than being whored out or being a sheikh plaything because aside for a disappointing start this year we have a nice squad being built around very exciting young players like Lukaku, Barkley, Stones, Coleman, McCarthy etc.

Don't you think these "deluded bells" are why these clubs are still alive? Look at where Villa are heading. Apparently their fans aren't so demanding or so loving, the stadium is empty, the spirit is low. If this goes on for a few years, no matter how big a club they are, they will go down.
