A question Moyes needs to consider strongly.

Time and again Everton have defended way too deep - usually camped on the 18 yard line. The first line of defence should be Saha/Yak or whoever is upfront.

If you look at the way Sporting and even the RS after the sending off played us, they were closing our creative players down as soon as they got possession even in our own half.

This takes guts, commitment and stamina, and isn't pretty, but neither is a static wall of blue on the edge of the area that keeps getting ripped apart when the opposition plays it wide.

In games where we did play with a more aggressive attitude (against Mancs, Chelski and City) we upset their play, and started exposing their defensive frailties.

Is this a failure of direction by Moyes to the players, or do the players just go out and ignore his directions? I don't have the answer to this but until we stop this total submission of the midfield to the opposition we will go nowhere.

I agree. :)

Lack of leadership and communication on the pitch is a major reason. Someone should be organising the back four as a unit. Have a nose at Birmingham City . Dann and Johnson are talking all game . Organising and communicating.

Well on the pitch Neville is the Captain so what is he doing?

In our team the only one talking is Howard when he ****s off the defence.

Moyes is bigger than Jesus.

Of course hes not right all of the time, nobody is, of course hes made a few mistakes in his time at Everton, everybody does.

But the fact still remains, David Moyes doesnt coach his players to make the glaring defensive cockups that they make, players make mistakes, everybody does.

I just had an image of Moyes walking on water and feeding half of Wavertree with a haggis and a packet of Nik Naks.

still a good manager.
