I love consultation. It's so democratic. We're all in this together.

Tax the poor! Keep Trident! Tax breaks for the rich! Spare the banks! Let the markets find their own level! Cut education! Carve up the NHS! Charge to enter museums! Tax enlightenment and culture! Watch the country burn! Fiddle! Fiddle!

So its ok spending money the country doesn't have going into more debt and therefore letting our kids pay the interest and debt off over the next 40 years?

Do you think that's fair?

My plan to wipe out the deficit that doesn't involve the poorest and weakest paying for a financial crisis:

Tax the banks that caused the crisis (and not that £2b slap on the wrist). Take all of the profits they make. Abolish the monarchy and aristocracy and seize all their assets. Scrap Trident and other military spending. Raise the tax threshold up to 70% for all those earning above £100K.

That should do it.

Why not drive anyone wanting to do business into the sea whilst your at it as well?

jesus christ davek.

you'll have to get the rich to drive them now that petrol will increase again due to the vat rise.
That's not only more for the fuel, but a bit more vat that you will be paying on the fuel tax as well, how a tax can be subject to vat is beyond comprehension.

Yes but its a smaller rise than the 2p every 6 months Labour were putting on the fuel duty escalator.

Also businesses can claim the VAT input tax back.

Fuel Duty was frozen in the last budget. THAT tax really does affect the poorest - and stops people getting jobs (more expensive to travel)!

A 2 p / litre rise every fcuking six months! Fcuk off Brown !

so the vat can be claimed back by 'vat registered' business owners, but the man on the st. has to pay it, including the man on minimum wage that has to buy fuel to travel to work for his boss who is claiming it all back. Seems that it's the ones who cant afford it the most who will be paying it at the end of the day.
The rich carry on as normal and claim it all back, while the rest have less. I still don't see how vat can be levied on a tax though, no goods or service are being received so how is it subject to vat ? the fuel yes, the tax no.

Well all I can say is, because of this man and his party, my mother and her fellow workers are now scared for their jobs. Work in the public sector you see, they seem pretty certain they won't have much longer. Further more my mum is at that age that is just a few years below retirement age but still old enough not to be that employable by the private sector. So yeah, I think she will be returning to Canada if it goes that way :/ Cheers Osbourne, you massive tit.

Tories are a bad bunch....look forward to a double dip recession guys.
