I can't recommend this book enough. Easily the most powerful, moving book I've ever read (and I'm only halfway through). I've found myself - genuinely - with tears in my eyes a few times, telling myself to MTFU and get a grip.
You don't have to be a football fan to appreciate the book (I'm not sure enjoy is the most appropriate word, but strangely you do enjoy it as it's never disrespectful or insensitive). But the added dimension of him being an international footballer just resonates that much more to a lover of the game.
