How long has it been since Everton has had two or more attacking flair-type players in the side? Maybe 2009 when both Pienaar and Arteta were in their pomp?

We've had a few semi decent players in the 15 years since then—a Manuel Fernandes here or a Kevin Mirallas or Gerard Deulofeo there—but Grealish and Ndiaye look even a significant step up from Pienaar and Arteta in Moyes' early days. These are elite players that would not look out of place in any side in the division.

Some of the ball retention, close control and intelligent, delicate passing today (that deft chipped assist to by Jack) was a joy to behold—and crucially effective too.

I'd go as far as to say the two of them are seriously making me consider whether Kanchelskis is the best Everton winger I've ever witnessed.

After years of being told Everton does not deserve to be any higher than scraping against relegation and the midfield should be bypassed at every opportunity, this 2025/26 Everton attacking midfield unit is showing signs that it's a twosome to be feared. Add the silky Dewsbury-Hall to the mix and we might have a perfect blend.

Get Dibling learning from those two wide-playing maestros and we may really be in business.

This is early days, but the signs are extremely positive and the goals are being spread around.

That is all, thank you.
