Whilst I realise there is a TV shows thread already, I've watched the first episode of this just tonight, and the second episode is on tomorrow.

It's really well done, and the history of Liverpool is what it's about. It charts every person who has ever lived in a property in the City.

Absolutely fascinating view of what we've come from. Slavery, Cotton etc..

Once it gets to the 60's Etc, I'm guessing it's gonna be even better viewing..

I'll have a watch of this, sounds really interesting, I did some research on an abandoned house redemtly to try and track down the owner, learned a lot about the history and previous owners, the current one refuses to sell it or do anything with it, been sat for 20 years now, full of stuff as well.

...yep, I mentioned it last week in the ‘Good Documentary’ thread. A really good watch, particularly if you’re from Liverpool.

..when you’re fortunate enough to make your final mortgage payment you receive the deeds to your house. They are a fascinating history of all the people who owned your property.

Watched the first one last week - excellent.

I wonder if they`ll cover the period of time, when the house would`ve been full of prozzies and crack heads, before it all got gentrified around there !

Was watching that last week when I was over. good stuff.

Kudos to the Butler who worked his way up and ended up leaving 16,000 pounds (apparently the equivalent of about 1.5 million today) in his will.

Thanks I will have a look at that on catch up!

Final episode last night.
The whole series was fascinating with last night's covering 1945 to present day. Well presented and brought home to me the hardships the likes of my mam and dad's era with regards housing conditions.
Highlight for me was seeing The Gladray club in Upper Parliament Street.
Brought back a few memories that I won't be sharing with my wife.
