A Great Day for the Bluerover Family!

Hope your daughter has a great day, on a side note and not wishing to sound morbid but many moons ago my wife miscarried with twins, but happily a couple of years later we had our 2nd girl, but every now and then we talk about the lost twins (even after 30 yrs) we ask ourselves would we have had our 2nd child if the twins had been born, it always burns my head. A similar thing happened to my eldest daughter she miscarried and a couple of year later had a boy who is amazing, a big blues fan,a great footballer, great looking, and a great personality. It's amazing how things turn out, I'm a big believer in fate, and fate dictated that you had an amazing daughter who you love and are very proud of.

Even if a couple can get through pregnancy without 'mis-ing', life is still so fragile.

We all have friends and family that have been devastated by losing a child and this is why we are quietly thankful.

We are just back from a lovely dinner with just the three of us. She is all excited getting ready to go and meet her pals for what will be a long night!!

I am still sober as I am driving them into town but I will have a few drinks with Mrs BR as soon as I get back!

The big celebration is a joint 21st party with her best pal since she started school at 5. We have 3 weeks to prepare for that!!!

Give your kids a big hug tonight and every night folks!!

So the day has begun that sees our one and only precious child reach 21 years of age.

Thank God she is bright, healthy, talented and a fanatical Evertonian.

We have had a few setbacks over the years with a number of miscarriages.

This lady is so precious to us.

While we are so grateful we are also thinking of the millions of children who never get to this milestone for many different reasons - including a brother of mine.

Today we will celebrate but with humility.

That I should live to see this day!! DG

Ah....the great Irish Breakfast after the long night before.

That will be me!! Probably won't be too many staying at the house though as the party is at a venue in town so most who are travelling are booking their own accommodation.

Expecting about 200 at the party itself.

Definitely need to book Monday off work !
