A gap in the market?

maybe some sort of sexy site where you can take control of 3d representations of the players and sort of dress them up in different outfits, ie sexy hibbert delivering milk tray or hang tinsel suggestively round phil neville.

that or a site devoted entirely to moaning about kenwright (the internet could really do with one of those.

Is this not it then??! :o

Of course something like that probably requires a bit more old fashioned journalism and isn't something you can do sat at home behind your PC, hence why it hasn't been done yet by any of the main fan sites. It's a lot of work, and with fan sites not really making money, it's not something that's worth the effort. Of course, if the club utilised the numerous fan clubs as affiliates to market things to fans, with the sites earning commission on any sales, then it would reward guys like D/D for all the effort they put into doing all they do (whilst of course increasing revenue for the club too).

Well if people's only interest is making money. If 25 wants to create a site to provide a service to everton fans around the country (and world) then this would surely be worthwhile....

A site that offers the lesser privileged a chance to meet their heroes? Everton are big on charity work so i'm sure you could get them interested. Also a donations button and contributors could also meet their heroes? I dunno if there's currently anything like it?

That's nice in principle but reality tends to kick in after a while. I run a non-profit site myself and whilst it's been good fun, I have other priorities now, and if it contributed some money it would get a lot more of my time. That's just a reality I'm afraid, and that assumes that sites are relatively earnings neutral, when the reality is that most cost money, if only for hosting, software etc. If you have to start paying people to write or whatever then it all adds up.
