Cels

Player Valuation: £70m
Now that Big Sam has gone, are the players going to be given a "do-over" and a bit of leeway by our fans, and a chance to prove themselves under the new manager (whomever it may be)? Or will it still be a case of getting on their backs at the first sign of a mistake, and/or wanting certain players out of the Club etc.?

I say give them all a clean slate (not counting Williams, Bolasie, Jags, Martina, and Mirallas) at the very least for preseason. This year was such an abomination but the above just aren't good enough and in Jags case just needs the captaincy stripped off him.

If you made a documentary about the players of any club, it'd make Zoolander look aspirational. Honestly how to you get through to someone on 70k a week whose major passion is having new tattoos and tile designs for his bathroom?

Half the first team if they read that would think it was about them. The other half would be too busy sending dick pictures to the girl they met the night before to have time to read.

..it’s partly why @AndyC MoM votes are important. We had a difficult season but certain players still stood up to be counted. Invariably, the likes of Pickford, Coleman and Walcott will still be contenders in the new regime.

Having published the May Player of the Month this evening, currently checking and re-checking all the numbers ahead of the GOT Player of the Season article... probably Monday or Tuesday ;)

Fresh start, new ideas, clean slate.

Judge on passion, effort or finesse.

Nothing to loose by encouraging or cheering them on. Support raises a team. Booing (though understandable) is always a negative effect.

Who was the overall season man of the match as voted by the fans Eggs?

Sorry, that is not true. Few of our players seem like that and all just want to play football, good football for a good manager in front of a passionate crowd.
