Had read about this. Seems he had become a bit of a 'celebrity' fan through his fund raising work.
*Hope the season go's well for you.

*EDIT - Just checked and you're losing 0-2 at present

That's the joys of being a Rochdale fan!! I suppose it makes the wins all the sweeter!

I have always had a small affection for Rochdale. They played in the first ever league game I ever saw. As an excited ten year old, and exiled from Croydon I saw Aldershot v Rochdale in October 1966.
Finished 4-0 Aldershot. (Sorry Dale).
Lovely story though.

Good club and fans, are the 'Dale. Probably sounds proper headpatting, that, but not how it's meant. Few friends are season ticket holders and do the aways. Proper family outings and always a genuine sense of community when I've gone along to a game, both home and away, as a bit of a jolly. Always made to feel welcome. Something that is being slowly lost at many clubs, unfortunately. Good luck to you.

Thought it was a life sentence? Actually Spotland are one, of the close to, 50 English grounds I visited so far. That book (Life Sentence) being the reason it was relatively high on my wish list of stadiums to visit.

Sadly not being able to add many grounds to that list over the last few years. Due to both personal reasons and this damned covid-19 Situation.

That's what's makes you guys special and a rarity in these sky sports days..... I hope you don't lose your identity when you eventually move grounds.
Sorry to go off topic but how are the former Cork City lads getting on with you guys? Brian Barry Murphy is Cork born and both Dooley and Keohane played with and won a double with us. Also I believe that young Keeper Bazanu (sp?) is on loan with ye from Man City, was at the game vs Shamrock rovers when he made his debut at just 16. He was fantastic that night and saved a penalty, left thinking if things just break even for him I have just witnessed the debut of a superstar

BBM is seems to be using his connections and bringing in a plenty of cork/Irish players. The last transfer window saw us bring in Conor Grant and Conor shaughnessy too! Bazuna is still only 18 which is a baby in keeping terms. Fantastic shop stopper but you can still see he is learning the trade. keohane has been solid but has had to play out of position at LB as we can't seem to sign one! Dooley is a bit inconsistent, there is definitely a player in there but he doesn't perform regularly enough. All these players coming in are great for my in-laws too as they are from Knocknaheeny!
