Firstly, get your head around the fact that we are in a relegation dogfight. There's this annual over-reliance on us coming good in the second half of the season. This is the season when it won't happen mainly because we have no-one to put the ball in the back of the net. We seem to be the one side in the Premiership without any striking threat AT ALL. Teams can easily nullify is and know exactly how we're going to set up.
So runner and riders, of the teams below and around us, who's likely to be in the mix with us at the end of April?
10th Norwich, 11th Swansea, 13th QPR - can see 1 or 2 of them doing a Blackpool / Hull at some point as there is very little in genuine quality and firepower. All three won't go down, one of them almost certainly will though.
14th Fulham - odd side, can't see them going down but might struggle.
15th WBA - decent side, probably be ok although they have got form for the drop (boing boing)
16th Sunderland - they'll benefit from the new manager factor now and pull away.
17th Wolves - could be in trouble with McCarthy still in control.
18th Wigan - doomed.
19th and 20th - Blackburn and Bolton. One of these will deffo pull away from trouble. More likely Blackburn at this point but who knows?
So based on that, I predict the final 5 games being scrapped out to stay in the Prem by Everton, one or two of the new sides, Wolves, Wigan and Blackburn or Bolton.
You think we're in financial dire straights at the moment. Relegation would make our recently published P&L look like the New York Yankees.
