A Christmas dilemma

So. Plan is for Mrs R and I to spend Christmas day on our own. Bliss.

So a few days ago, I bought a small frozen turkey.

Got home last night, and her Dad, (ex farmer), had dropped round a spare fresh turkey, cos otherwise it would be wasted. Trouble is, this fresh one is nearly 17 lb. So basically massive, and could easily feed 12.

Anyone who needed such a large bird would have got one by now, so no point ringing round etc, and I doubt any homeless charities would have the kit to cook such a big one anyrate.

So what to do with 90% of a cooked turkey? A few sarnies, and some pickles and stuff on Boxing day aside, I cant really see us ever eating anywhere near all of it, so my initial thought is to slice is all up, freeze a bit, then see if charities/food banks and that would like the meat. But no idea where to start if I am honest.

Help.
RSPCA been informed.... A Turkey is not just for Christmas...... Hang your head in shame Roydo.
