7 million also for Leeds or Southampton coming backing up was announced last week which does take it to 133.
I know it helps our situation etc.
But that's bollocks, if relegated teams return straight away, that unallocated parachute money should go to the football league for them to allocate to lower tier clubs for infrastructure improvements etc.

I just can’t be bothered with administration or 777, and apparently there’s no other buyers. Moshiri is currently the better option than either of them.
Hes not putting in a cracker how do we go about meeting payment and staving off insolvency

Looking at turning the ship and actually turning the ship are two different things. And then there's the fact that the ship was turned in completely the wrong direction in the first place. Set on course to sink really.

Not owing much money out in transfers is nice but doesn't mean the potentially catastrophic amount of loan debt pouring out of the club should be disregarded. And building a 'billion pound stadium' isn't a much to shout about when the initial forecast was for a £300M stadium.

Stadiums aren't cheap mate. Look at Spurs' and how that followed the same trajectory as ours ie balloon in cost.

And the two are separate issues. The point being is that wanting to slap a 17 point deduction to a club that have shown to be correcting the course still proves the farce the PL is to protect it's brand.

Its like giving an alcoholic jail time even though he's in recovery to get better.

Or banning a player for gambling rather than looking to help him with something that is clearly a big problem. At the same time as having ads for betting all over the show. They’ve taken hypocrisy to the level of an art form

There's no reason why we can't be run in a sustainable manner. Sell Onana before June 30th to avoid breaching PSR. Sell Branthwaite in the summer window and replace with a much cheaper option. Use the income to support the club for next season. We don't need a change of ownership to do this.

Im seriously not sure selling onana and branthwaite is enough. Remember we have been borrowing from 777 on a monthly basis to keep us going. From a wages POV they aren't even at the pointy end of our wages scale and yes, we are likely having gomes and alli's wages falling off but we have a lot more players to pay plus staff plus operating costs plus loan servicing.

We also have to pay for Beto this year too (circa 30m).

Even the cost of replacing those two will eat into a lot of the funds from Branthwaite and Onana (after the sale clause is paid to his former club). Keep in mind they will need to be of a reasonable quality I mean id play for about 100,000 a year (not a week) but im not sure id help us stay up.

We can be run sustainably but a significant restructure needs to take place. Moshiri has mismanaged the finances so bad as we will need to actually pay money to restructure. In another post I think we'd probably need to raise 250m from player sales just to have a shot at reorganising everything.

Doesn't alter the fact that you can't point at something that's ballooned in cost as a positive example of fiscal responsibility. And stadium costs were not part of the decision to deduct points regardless.

It was based on day to day irresponsible running of the clubs finances. If an alcoholic commits a crime while drunk the alcoholism may be a mitigating factor but it's not an excuse to avoid prosecution and punishment. Perhaps Everton's points deductions took into account mitigating factors and could have been higher.

We've been borrowing from 777 to finish the stadium, we know we have 50 something million left on that so the end is in sight.

We won't be paying all 30 million for Beto this summer, don’t get me wrong, it might be a fair whack for allowing us to not pay anything last year. I guess 15-18m. You have to offset that with payments due to us though, that Maguire article said although we owe 70, we are due back 90. That doesn't tell us if we need to pay all of ours within 2 years and we get back in 4 but you'd imagine some thought has taken place to balance those sides.

So if we sell Onana and Branthwaite and get enough upfront to pay the rest of the stadium, then it comes down to how much cash do we need to cover the interest payments for the loans. We will have freed 10m pa just from not paying the wages of Gomes and Dele. Onana's will be a fair bit, Danjuma was probably on a reasonable amount. If we can bin off Keane and Holgate and replace with younger, cheaper articles then we could be near 20 million better off. With no real board in place perhaps that's another 2-3m on top. We will be very frugal again this year to ensure the trend is going in the right direction.

All those cost cutting measures will allow us to go to the banks next year and say look how much head room we have to enable us to get a loan for the stadium debt and stop paying the ridiculous rates. When added to the increase in income should mean we'll be a lot better off for the 2025/26 season.
