Real worries come next year when our squad size is down to 15 after players contracts expire. We need serious money to sort the squad in the next 12 months.

And it feels like this 3 year rolling cycle in terms of FFP has lasted about 8 years now. We must be looking good soon, surely?
We're well clear of FFP/STCC.

Doesn't change the fact we don't have a magic money tree planted at Finch Farm anymore. (well, we do.... It's just that Usmanov can no longer water it)

Only gotta look at the absolute state of the U21 squad atm, getting battered every week.

To be fair half the team these days is made up of u18's and is missing our 'best' u23's because of loans & senior bench appearances.

Yeah it's better they are getting actual competitive game time.

We had a "golden generation" of U23s who won PL2 and some won the World Cup with England, from them, Davies is probably the best (not including DCL as he wasn't an academy product)

also selling home grown players is good for ffp well we’ve sold how many and one for big money and it hasn’t made a baldy bit of difference load of crap this ffp

Well that's true in a sense.

We had to get a bridging loan from Andy Bell to continue stadium work, we haven't had any money from MSP to repay Bell or fund rest of the stadium build along with any other bank that was lined up. Moshiri is seemingly not putting in any more money into the club / stadium.

After our low finishes that past few seasons we've had reduction in TV and prize income which affects our cash flow, so we've had to borrow even more from Rights and Media Funding to cover our cash flow.
You are omitting / neglecting the new commercial revenue streams the club have launched though.
This one is expected to be a bit of an earner……

It's not doom mongering.

We generate about 180m a year in TV, ticket and commercial revenue.

We have costs of about 15m a month. (wages, player payments, interest payments etc) so that basically breaks even.

The recent player sales are pretty much going into steel and concrete. People thinking we'll have 20 or 30m to spend in Jan under our current ownership are fantasists.

There comes a point when we have nothing else to sell. Somethings gotta give.

In the current market you can always generate money. Even good fees for the likes of Dobbin and Simms.

We have an unfinished ground & debts all over the place - thats why MSP only invested in the ground we are due to go to an independent hearing in October to justify our debts - we are blaming it all on covid .. Which is not true we got let off now a neutral committee is looking at our books thats why Beto was signed to be paid in 2024 ... we are in a financial mess TBH ....

We will be lucky not to get points deducted ..... we need a big buyer, & start all over without BK & Moshiri
I doubt we get a points deduction, that will set a precedent for every prem club. Utd getting looked into, Chelsea can’t be far behind, West Ham have sold rice to keep them probably safe for now. Villa, Forrest again have both spent loads.

More likely be a fine and transfer ban

A transfer ban would send us down ..... our squad is threadbare atm ....

dyche likes working with a small squad though, 15 players is ideal

we can then auction the remaining 3 spots on the bench to the fans every week and make further revenue that way

Unless I'm missing something mate, Beto's signing and the structure of it has nothing to do with FFP/P&S - his signing will be accounted for in the usual manner with it being amortised across the length of his contract, with the first chunk of that being in this financial year.

What it does do is alleviate the immediate cash flows issues to a degree because we don't have to hand over any money until 1st July 2024 (at the earliest)

The cash flow problems are the bigger ones currently - FFP is probably not going to be a problem for us from 1st July 2024 because we will have 3 financial years behind us of (probably) fairly comfortable accounts. If we aren't in the black over that three year rolling period, then we should be close to it
Yes I think you’re right, like if we singed Gnonto for 25mil over the 5yrs and Leeds wanted 15mil up front m. And moshiri paid it, it wouldn’t go against FFP/P&S

Great, selling Simms covered just over 10 days of our operating costs.

The situation is absolutely dire. The sooner everyone wakes up to this fact, the better.

MSP would have been a partial solution, sadly they no longer appears to be an option. The longer we go on without fresh investment or a full takeover the more dire the situation is.
