From this, to becoming a self appointed covid marshall, riding around on his bike, covered in bin bags, screaming MURDERERS at people and wanting lockdown breakers hung from lampposts.

Ladies and gentlemen, the biggest U turn in the history of the forum.
Man I liked that post - goddamn I'm a dope at times. Having said that - I dunno what was before the edit and that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Wow sorry opened some wounds everyone 💙
Don't be. It's quite amazing how it's been redefined as just a weird quirky societal hiccup where everyone learned to make bread from scratch, drank a little too much and scrabbled around for toilet paper.

Forgetting the ugly truth of it is exactly what the charlatans and crooks who exploited people's suffering for personal financial gain would want.

The worst time of my career (medical POV), probably the first time I couldn't stop the tears welling up on the ward regarding a patient that had died. Had two children (start/during) so had personal highlights. Really pulled back the curtains on what a horrid govt we have, and how much corruption they can easily get away with.

Although personally I had an okay time of it (bar from feeling really bad after every vaccine). No one close to me was hospitalised, live in the country so walks away from people was easy enough. As I worked from home anyhow that was normal for me and I had a converted garage to get away from the rest of the people in the house. Despite that the feeling I'm left with is one of anger.

You could see it rolling in in slow motion. I went to the Man utd game on the 1st of March and even that I was like it's slightly dodgy but I'll go. Another few days and it picked up massively, I was supposed to go to Wales v Scotland but had already decided no way 10 days before. Work wanted me in Dublin at the end of that month and asked why I hadn't booked flights yet! (WTF do you READ the news??)

Then we saw images of Cheltenham. Athletico Madrid coming to Liverpool. If they had locked down before then for two-three months, stopped all traveling to/from China that could have been it. Instead of the long drawn out event it turned out to be, seeing the images, hearing the stories regarding people dying in hospitals alone, funerals, women having to give birth on their own. There has to be a better and a more coordinated way of dealing with pandemics where the death rates are so high yet the symptoms take so long to show.
