Player Valuation: £500k
Must admit I'm shocked to read that West Ham have sold that many and ask the question would we, who I used to think always had a bigger fanbase than them, be able to ever sell that many?

they are selling them pretty cheap, a guy in my team at work has bought 2 for the very first time (hes 60 years old) because they are only £250 each, he said he probably wont go to a fair few of the games and knows there will be no sell on value as thousands of people will do the same...but for £250 each hes NEA, Its also the excitement of the first season in the Olympic stadium, the ST holders like him will have one season of it and lose interest.

First season in a brand spanking new stadium located in the most populous city in Britain.

Will be more impressed if they sustain it.

Certainly think there is potential for a larger ST sales if we move to a ground without restricted views everywhere. Don't know if that's 50k though.

That "World Class" player they have too, is 29 having his first EVER good season.

Smells that tbh.

Plenty to do with the location /transport links and 'calibre' of purchasers. A good % of happy clapping 'tourists' no doubt rather than hard core irons

They won't sustain it.

Small club having a decent season, who've won the stadium lottery.

Pretty much this - New Stadium Syndrome ( +cheap tickets) for the last 50 years or so ( see barcodes ) they have been a yo-yo club, some fancy bricks and mortar won't change much

lets re visit this in say 3yrs. and look at league position and season ticket sales. no big deal.

By selling cheap and getting a full house every week (or more than they would normally get) they will sell more pies, drinks, shirts and programmes. All adds up to a lot of money after 19+ games over the season.

Yep, and for every 'tourist' that goes, there is the potential that they become lifelong fans who want to go and watch games regularly. Great business by Wham.

Great news for West Ham United that, they have some good fans, I know a few myself. Have usually been a club like Everton over the years, not winning much, staying up one season, doing ok the next. Have got rel gated, which we have not for a very long time, but now have a new stadium, new fan base and money. They will be in Europe too, suddenly I am very jealous.

A thoughtfully designed & well located new stadium (within the City) would see Evertonians clambering for season tickets.

Goodison, for all it's history & very occasional 'bear pit' atmosphere, is quite frankly wretched. The facilities are terrible & the amount of obstructed view seats totally unacceptable in the new world of Premier League money.

If Moshiri wants to create a legacy for long suffering Blues, the stadium issue should be No. 1 on his list of priorities (after he has dispensed with Martinez & brought the Special One in obviously!) ...

The OS has fantastic infrastructure. WHU are now opened up to pretty much all of central London and the SE by rail.

I would imagine Stratford has had more investment than Liverpool in the last decade.
