I went for a long weekend a few years ago. Saw the Desperate Dan and Minnie The Minx statues, visited Scott's ship Discovery and went to the Jute Museum. Found some nice places to eat and all in all had a really good time.

Very cheap as well. The coast round there is spectacular also.

Dundee gets such a bad rep from Edinburgh and Glasgow people. The town centre is pretty grim but got some lovely parts.
