4 Tier Premier League. Which Tier Are Everton In?

Suicidal pessimism of some posters aside, my perception is:

Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea are the 3 clearly strongest teams.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham will be battling for 4th.

Everton lead the chase to try and break into the top 6, we're sort of on our own.

Villa and Fulham are good enough to be around the top 8 but equally I'd be annoyed if either finished above us.

Newcastle, Sunderland, Stoke, Bolton and West Brom are all much of a muchness. These teams are about 50/50 as to whether they have a good season and challenge 8th-ish, or get into a rut, a lot of injuries perhaps, and start hovering around 15th, potentially in danger.

The rest all have serious relegation worries to varying degrees. I think Wolves have enough about them to not be actually in the relegation zone much. QPR, Norwich, Swansea, Blackburn and Wigan all have a big challenge on, as it stands, to avoid trouble.

That's my interpretation of things. Frankly, I wish I wasn't able to make such a structured prediction because it's a shame it's so unlikely a team like Everton or Villa would suddenly charge towards 4th, or a team like Newcastle will finish 6th, but that's how the league is.

being able to afford and attract players does not make them a tier ahead of us at the moment. Especially when the managers of these clubs (please see Bruce / Pardew for details) continue to lump cash at woeful players like desperate man with his last few pennies into a fruit machine.

The entire league has been able to outspend us for the last two years. By your cretinous logic that should mean we are already in the Championship. You might want to check the last few season's league tables and try to find Newcastle, Sunderland and us.
But Newcastle and Sunderland don't spend anything like what the clubs that the lad mentioned above , what he meant was 100% correct , the money they have at there disposal is what separates Everton and the top tier , because the clubs mentioned have the resources to improve , we don't , if you look around world football all the biggest clubs have always had more money to spend on players , there are exceptions obviously but in the main , the Inter Milan's of this world , Real Madrid , Barca, Bayern Munich , United , Chelsea , juventus have the history because at certain moments have had big money to sign the best players to go with youth players but without the money it's impossible in this day in age to become a force without , so the logic was correct

Have the likes of Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam all of a sudden transformed them into an excellent side? I'm not convinced, to be honest. Not saying we'll finish ahead of them either, but we are alot closer in quality to these teams than we are to Fulham. They certainly aren't out of our League.

I personally think Spurs are just ahead of us in terms of squad depth.

I can see them challenging for a top 4 place for the next few Seasons at least.

Also I think the RS are a bad side full of very bad players, Suarez apart, so maybe we are on a par with them, I cant really see them challenging the CL places this Season at least.

The same can be said for Arse, but based on the last few Seasons, I think Spurs and the RS are a little bit ahead of us tier wise, due to the regular CL football the RS had and the possible CL football Spurs will have.

The RS will challenge for the 4th spot IMO.

I cant see them losing too many games...but I cant see them scoring lots. Carroll and Suraez get injured...they've only got Kyut. I just think they'll be very solid and hard to beat with that 1 player that can do a bit of magic. Then there's Gerrard coming back.

We have dropped back from the pack. We're on par or maybe just pip the Bolton's, Stokes, Fulham's etc. Reason being...tactics and how we're set up.

We're not solid enough and we're not adventurous, but we are well drilled and have a couple of good players.

So Top tier is: Manchesters, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spuds maybe?
2nd Tier: Everton, Bolton, Villa, RS, Barcodes?
3rd Tier: Baggies, Sunderland, Stoke, Wolves,Fulham?
4th Tier: Norwich, QPR, Swansea, Blackburn, Wigan?

Went with the 4 mini leagues suggestion.

I agree with BBC spot on mate!
But how long will we stay in the 2nd tier?
