Will always struggle in a rugby town sadly

Same as my local side Bath City. Used to be one of the top Amatuer sides in the country with gates of 5000+. Since Rugby became successful they struggle to get 700.
Always on the verge of going bust and stayed part time even when they had a couple of seasons in the Conf Premier c2010. Still a good antidote to PL baloney. A trip down there reminds me of what Football used to be like.

But not in the south west, which, as a region has always been a bastion of rugby. One league club in Wiltshire, one league club in Somerset, two league clubs in Devon and none in Cornwall.

Didn't Bristol Rovers ground share with them once?

Yes, in the 90's for a few seasons. Was a "Brizzle" derby there once when Rovers beat City 4-0. MoM ; Ian Holloway.
Rovers still play a pre season friendly there every season.​

One of my favourite places to catch a non-league game (along with Hitchin, Ebbsfleet and Merthyr Tydfil). Boss ground, great city to have a mooch, drink and eat - and scores of posh totty to blimp. Ideal.
