Me too, went three times in the early 80's and it's a fabulous city, so much to do and see.I was there in the 80's when the wall was still up. Loved the place. Dark, edgy but always vibrant.

I never got over into the East due to my security clearance. We were pretty certain at least one of them was secret police or Stasi, but we had a blast with them before coming out just before the checkpoint closed.
