In the Everton end, very lucky to get in as it was Gary Lineker's last home game for Spurs and the police were trying to let as many Spurs fans in as possible by keeping Everton fans out! I remember the match well, Stuart Barlow missed a great chance in injury time to win the game!

Yes mate we turned up lateish as normal and got locked out with quite a few Everton. Only time it ever happened although struggled once at Qpr mid 90s and ended up in the "diabolical" seats in the corner. Tickets for all aways must have started around then.

It was cash on the day, I remember the 'away' end had as many Spurs fans it as Everton fans, the end of season nothing to play for atmosphere helped keep the peace! I got in because I argued my mate in front had the car keys and what was I supposed to do once he got in and I had nowhere to go! It worked!
