lol, can't believe they are bringing this back. loved it at the time but went back and watched the first season about 6 months ago and my word... it's not aged well at all.

what happened to the movie they were going to make ?

Not sure what happened to the movie just didn't work out i don't think, looking forward to this, just hope they haven't overdone it and ruined it.

Some things capture the zeitgeist, and 24 did that...ages ago.

All this anti-terror action film and torture porn is very dated. Look at that film last year: Zero Dark Thirty...a boring piece of tripe that felt about half a decade at least beyond it's expiry date.

Same with Jack Bauer. Just give the feller his pension and a rocking chair FFS.

Sorry to be a down on all the excitement, the first series was a great concept and well executed, after that it just becomes a 'really another global emergency that has to be fixed within 24 hours by Jack Bauer?'.

The Muricans have an excellent way of milking a concept to oblivion and then continuing to milk long after the milk is gone, another prime example would be Lost.

That video was filmed right below where a friend of mine lives. This will be ace as always. Yeah its the same thing, but it will always leave you guessing who is who and who's going to die before Jack saves the day.
