Joke from the second they were even considered.

A World Cup in the winter? [Poor language removed] off.
 
why is it ridiculous? plenty of countries have to re arrange their seasons to play a world cup in our summer!

More ridiculous that South Africans had to sit in freezing temps to accomodate the Premier league etc.

But that's been going on since the 30s and is just the way it is.
 
It would be about 2-3 seasons changed in the Prem wouldn't it? The year before starts early to make sure they get a rest before the wc season, then that season finishes late, the next one starts late and finishes late and so on. Absolute joke.

Also what if England don't qualify, 6-7 weeks over Xmas with no footy or anything, **** that.

Would be a good chance to use younger players if they just carried on :lol:

Going off topic here but I seriously think we should have the likes of Everton B and let them start from the conference or something.

It's ridiculous because the criteria for the world cup was that it was held in the summer, if a country couldn't do that then they shouldn't have bid for it or it should never have even been considered (and it's not like they weren't warned well ahead of time that this would happen) - if they wanted a winter world cup then it should have been discussed with all the football leagues and also been part of the bidding rules.
 
well stop crying about it. Its about time Europe has to accomodate a world cup in a foreign land.

There is 8 years to sort it out. Just have a few weeks of 2 prem games a week, ffs it's prob only going to affect about 6 league games at most!

They said on SSN it would affect 16 and thats without getting your players back and sorting them out.
