..woman hit by golf by a Brooks Koepka golf ball at the Ryder Cup claims she has gone blind in her right eye and is suing organisers;

Difficult to see where liability lies, I suppose it’s a bit like being behind the goal in a football match.

me and my son are behind the street end goal today eggs so I'm hopeful Everton have their shooting boots on as I don't fancy taking one in the mush!

For these type of tournaments that draw more casual supporters en masse they should have perspex screens to stand behind, that or hard hats with visors on. Anyone who has stepped foot on a golf course in a playing capacity knows how dangerous it can be.

Makes my stomach churn when I see a narrow tee with supporters lined up either side. Of course it is unlikely a pro will shank or slice it that bad but if the worst happens and they slip, arm spasms or the driver breaks right at the wrong time someone could get hit by a golf ball from point blank range. Shudder to think.

I think it was either Tom Watson or Tom Kite who done one ( a long long time ago). Got no further than about 50/60 yards and pummelled left into the galleries.

I've seen a vid of it a few years back, was on a worst shots in golf complimation

Just seen the one by Tom Kite, not great is it. Also found this beauty, I shouldn't laugh as it isn't a funny matter but when someone shouts "make her cut it out' I can't help it...it cracks me up.
