Rather than reopen the old thread, and therefore old arguments, please discuss last nights election here without the baggage of the previous thread. You can still read the old thread here: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...larity-contest-aka-uk-general-election.70010/

Please remember to be civil to each other. If we find any sniping and nastiness, the perpetrator will find themselves banned from the thread and possibly the site. You don't have to be horrible to others if you disagree with them you know. And above all, DO NOT make it personal against other members.

Anyway, to start, I wanted a Labour win, but perhaps this will kick start Labour into being a better, and more effective party for next time round........

no farage! hopefully their support will die now...still think will be interesting watching torie backbenchers trying to get tories to the right...theres still alot who dont like cameron for his centreist stuff on gay marriage, europe etc

For those on here who voted for this lot; a quick heads up.

Once the most vulnerable have been dispensed with - You'll be the ones that those above you in the earning stakes see as the next easily disposable......Try working your way out of it then. Try pleading your way out by reminding them that you voted for them.

Don't believe for one minute that your job or your contribution to society's worthwhile as theirs.

Some excellent (ex) MPs lost their seats, and the overall result, whilst not exactly decisive, was driven in part I am sure, by an English reaction to the SNP. Or rather their possible influence.

But a few By-Elections could change all that!
