Sorry if something like this has already been done, only started using this today. As well as the 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 we played last season I'd love to see us switch to a 3-5-2 every now and again just to keep teams guessing.
With 3 at the back Stones doesn't have to get left out of the starting 11 and we've got the perfect wing-backs in Coleman and Baines. I'd take Besic over Barry in this formation because with 3 centre backs we won't need that player to be the shield right in front of the defence and Besic will bring a lot more energy. Barkley sitting just in front of them linking the attack. Mirallas or another striker given a bit of a free role to drop off slightly or go wide and Lukaku up front as the target. Just reckon a 3-5-2 really suits the players we've got.
