Well this has snuck up on us hasn't it?

The seasons weirdest game which no one really cares about yet we all usually watch as we have been footie starved for 3 months. Not this year of course as the Euros and Olympics have made a smooth easing through the normally tricky summer months.

Why watch? Well for a start it should be a chance to get a look at Eden Hazard. seems a bit of a tool but we have all heard he is ace, signed him on Football Manager but seen very little of him. Chelsea will be fascinating this season - will the Ladyboy finally step up after a decent Euros and the departure of Drogba?

And as for City loathe them or hate them they do play some great stuff. Tevez has reported back a stone lighter apparently - signs of a new dedication to the cause or simply been hitting the charlie in Buenos Aries night clubs. You decide.
