Player Valuation: £8m
With about a quarter of the season left to go who are your favourites for Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year?

For me there are no stand out winners in either category. In my opinion the player of the year should go to the player who has gone above and beyond expectations, no one has really done that this year. So far I only see two contenders Felliani and Baines. While Felli has had some good form I expected that of him considering he was boss last year as DCM, now he's just doing it further up the field. Baines has been well... Baines as usual. Jags has had a good season but considering the amount of goals (and terribly soft ones) we've conceded I can't see the award going to a CB.

I imagine whoever gets reserve player of the year will also end up being a front runner for young player of the year since no one under 23 has even got a sniff of first team action. I could see Oveido getting it as he is only 22 and has had some good appearances. Is Coleman still eligible?

Baines, Jagielka and Fellaini have been the most consistent, followed by Distin, Pienaar and Anichebe.

Shame we havn't seen much of the Coleman/Mirallas combination

TBH mate i'm surprised you don't see Felli as the standout candidate, he went from playing defensive mid to playing a position he's not entirely comfortable with and absolutely dominated. He'll probably hit double figures for goals by the end of the season, and he's won us a few games all on his own.

I thought he already had 10?

Baines jags and Fellaini have been the most consistant. A few weeks back I thought ossie had a good chance but he seems to have lost it the last month or so.

Young player? Coleman if he still counts as one.

Think Oviedo might be in with a shout for Young Player because he's 22 i think.
Baines would get my number 1 vote for Player of The Season. More consistent than Fellaini, is the reason id give him it. Theres times this season were Fellaini has just jogged round the pitch and not looked arsed.
Jagielka would be in my top 3 as well.

Is he really!? Looks well older!

Baines is player of the season for me, followed by Fellaini, he's just been more consistent. His free kick against Newcastle is the best goal too. Would Coleman still qualify for young player of the season? If not then probably Oviedo.
