They are that. They are also Muslims doing it in the name of Islam. Don't shy away. Embrace and face up to it. Good to see some ( a minority but still a lot) muslims are doing the same. I agree to a point. Religion is a tool though. Some tools are sharper than others.

Violent, abhorrent extremism for sure. But Boko Haram, and the 200 or more recognised terrorist groups around the world using the name of Islam have about as much in common with the average person of Islamic faith as would the majority of the next home crowd at Goodison.

These terrorists are taking advantage of what was written in the Quran 1400 years ago and what a "flag of convenience" it is. This terrorism has nothing to do with a prophet, a deity, or religious scriptures, it is purely as it always has been, a cloak to mask their own perverted corruption and desire for power and control.

Those that berate all of the Islamic Faith because of the acts of those perverted leaders walk straight into their trap and assist them in their work. Work to defeat terrorism and the corruption of power and religion, not solely the defeat of Islam, then you will see different results.
