that £2.5 mill should be enough to buy back andy johnson and pay for another striker loan. then we can get rid of straqualarsi and joao silva who obviously arent making the grade!
 

2.5 mil up front is potentially what we could pay for a 10 mil foreign player with the rest over a 4 year contract.

Of course we dont have the funds to pay the other 3 years but still, its not a bad sum up front and im confident that we'll get the maximum 5.5 mil over time....he's a good player.


If Moyes took a gamble on a young player I'd be happy, even if the gamble failed.

If he goes for a Neville, Distin-esque type signing I'll be seething.
 


Great thread. Criticising the club for securing almost half of a transfer fee up front.
 
5.5m is obviously coming from his previous performances in Russia as no way they have been watching him recently - if guys like Eagles are worth 1.5m and look ok in the league - what is bily worth - 600k or so? I say good business even if it is installments
