The last time we beat manure away before tonight....

Does anyone remember what they were doing on that day (or around that time) and how does life compare now to back then.

I.e, what has happened between then and now?

Put it this way, I haven't got a clue, but I know shellsuits were fashionable, Bush senior was still president (just) and I was about to start playschool....

Getting ready to start my 2nd year of my Master's Degree program. Living in a small apartment and a poor starving graduate student.

I was 18 and at college getting fizzed every day. I thought going to OT and winning was the norm, I certainly didn't see the 90s team becoming so gash!
Fingers crossed, it looks like this team with this manager is on the road to honours and bringing joy back to the fans.
PS - I was one of the fans who didn't want Moyes to leave and Martinez wasn't my first choice to replace him but all that doesn't seem to matter this morning! COYB

I don't even remember it sadly

My first Everton at Old Traffic memory is the before-mentioned Big Dunc game where Everton went 2-0 up only to get clawed back to 2-2

I'll treasure the memory from last night though. That'll stick with me for the rest of my days

I'm not sure shellsuits were still as fashionable as they had been previously

I get the feeling that was around the time when they'd made way for the now defunct "suede trackie"

There's a picture around that time with me and my brother wearing our brand new shell suits that we got for Christmas, being flammable as they were my mum decided that the best place to take the photo was in front of the roaring hot open fire.

I look back at that photo now and thank god I'm alive.

Is your brother Simon Weston??
