Can't believe its 20 years. That hurts me like hell.
it was an amazing day, when Spurs got teh soft peno I thought here we go, but the crowd roared the team on to a real thrashing. If ever a match showed the fundamental differences between our support and that Spurs it was that one. The cocky southern b******ds flipped once they realised they were hopelessly outnumbered (they hadn't even sold out their allocation). Our support was incredible.
yes there is that !Can't believe its 20 years. That hurts me like hell.
I remember meeting the BBC pundits Bobby Charlton and Jimmy Hill and both tipped Everton to win. When they were in their commentary box with the BEEB they chose Spurs. Jurgen Klinnsmans golden boot presented to the man himself on the day was shown to us outside the ground by a member of staff in the broadcast vehicle. A day I will never forget
Yep,remember them trying to "invade" the pitch and swinging from the crossbar just before the end?If ever a match showed the fundamental differences between our support and that Spurs it was that one. The cocky southern b******ds flipped once they realised they were hopelessly outnumbered (they hadn't even sold out their allocation). Our support was incredible.

Best day of my life.
How fcking sad is that.
Same here, i was 16 in 95. A young looking 16 so couldnt have a beer after the game, by the time we got home me dad went the local and i went the park and drank white lightning and stellaYou know what though, in all seriousness... Was thinking bout this the other day, like most blues/footy fans I enjoy a bevvy with me arl fella watching the match, I was 13 when we won the cup in 95 and was spoilt in the 80's but was a bit young to appreciate it fully, anyway, so was thinking... In my life I have never raised a glass in celebration with him after an Everton trophy win, quite sad really, hopefully can be remedied soon...
I was 19 in 1985,and boy I celebrated,in fact its taken me most of the following years to recover!Same here, i was 16 in 95. A young looking 16 so couldnt have a beer after the game, by the time we got home me dad went the local and i went the park and drank white lightning and stella
Not sad at all, these days are what make us, and those days should be remembered and cherished.
This is Everton, and this is who we are. The ability to overcome adversity is in our DNA. Ok we don't see it all too often, but it is there.
