1984 FA Cup Final vs Watford

They just showed the best FA Cup Matches in Everton history again over here including most of the '84 final (along with the 4-4 Derby game that finished Dalglish the first time) and the Gosling Derby and the Man U Semi.

Pretty cool to watch 80's Everton. It has to be said though that compared to today, those guys weren't even remotely in the same league athletically as today's footballers. The mustaches were epic though.

Those were the days, just bought the FA Cup '84 shirt from everton 2 last week £25 and the black nike away shirt for £15 bonus, was going to get a nice tracksuit top for £15 but didn't have it in my size so i bought mick rathbones 'the smell of football'. anyway i digress...

Great times we could do with a gray or sharp now on the end of baines' crosses

Not an amazingly exciting match, but a very composed Everton performance. Watford don't really get a look in after the second goal

...not sure I agree with the athleticism point about the mid-80s team. Steven and Stephens were a bit electric on the right wing. Saying that, Sheedy didn't run because he didn't have to - class act.
