Was just wondering for those of you of a certain age

Do you think winning the league in 84/85 was more or less of an achievement than when we win the league this season?

I personally think that as we've come from so far back this one will be the greatest, but I'd love to know your thoughts

This is fun mate but it does not come close to the experience of that barn storming team that swept virtually all before it just 18 months after being booed off park after 0-0 vs Coventry and crowd baying for kendalls head.
This team is a cracker though!!

......winning the league this year is probably so improbable that it would probably be the best victory in the history of the club. Probably possibly.

Winning the first title since 1970 still stands out as a phenomenal season for me, even if I could really only follow it via scores in the papers over here. But there wasn't anywhere near the financial discrepancy there is today, so given that I'd say this season is stoking very similar memories. When we got fourth under Moyes, it was because we ground out a lot of 1-0 wins and the other teams in the league were uber gash. It's not a one-off this time, in my mind.
