So the guy who couldn’t wait to give young a red, refused to even give Tsimikas a yellow despite constant fouling in the same game, awarded a controversial penalty to pool, refused to give Konate a blatant second yellow when still 0-0, and also decided a perfectly fine challenge by DCL was a red card in the cup despite getting about 20 looks at it (subsequently overturned) gets to ref our game again? Make it make sense.

It's essentially Everton getting a further 3 point FFP penalty, just the Premier League's way of hitting us again following the appeal.

If they dont get you one way, they get you another. This will be Pawsons 13th PL match, amazingly 3 including us. Last season he also had us 3 times, above average. In those 5 matches with him as referee we are 0-0-5.

This ref has such an agenda against us I hope Dyche calls it out at tomorrow's press conference.

….we get players in the box but we lack quality to exploit good situations in the top third. I noted in open play at City a point where 4 players hit the penalty area but the move broke down on the right flank. We also don’t have players who effectively go past the opposition, drawing tackles in and around the penalty area.

It’s more the lack of quality than anything tactical.

our xG is quite good isnt it which suggests we get into the box enough, but we still dont get penalties.

We've been due a pen for a long time, but it still hasn't happened, probably because we don't have players in the opposition penalty area.

‘fraid this is utter tosh. We don’t get penalties because there is an agenda against us on field. There are many instances this season, where identical types of incident have garnered penalty kicks for other teams.

We know the only penalty they give us is a deduction in points.

Pawson is amongst the worst.

Pawson is at the apex of the very worst referees in the country which is astonishing considering just how bad they all are. He has also shown he will go out of his way to give contentious decisions to our detriment whenever the possibility arises and the club/manager really need to dig him out. Commence “operation Goodison booooooooooooooooooooooooo!”
