Travel thread 3.0

Since the previous one is locked, and travel season is approaching, time for another thread, or maybe the mods want to merge with the old one?

Anyway, off to Copenhagen for a weekend at the end of March. Will probably take the chance to get over to Malmo over the Oresund Bridge while I'm there.
best city in the world, if you like food, drink and design. Malmo is ok, i'd only bother if you feel you have done everything you want in Copenhagen

Anything you'd particularly recommend in copenhagen? I'll be going to Malmo because to my shame I'm a country-counter and want to tick Sweden off lol

ahaha.

What kind of things are you into? Do you eat meat (there is a reason i ask for food)?

we did go Malmo eventually but one time we were there, we met this English guy who lives in Malmo says its like coming to London for the weekend and getting the train to Luton lol

I was planning on going to Cyprus but there is a requirement for visitors to have completed all three Covid vaccines. I've been experiencing palpitations of late, and I don't wish to take the third vaccine at present, so I'm unlikely to travel anywhere unless/until I do. Sorry to bring Covid up, but it continues to be a pertinent issue regarding any international travel.

No plans as yet but hoping to camp in north Portugal in a couple of months.

Not sure how many brit posters have traveled in Europe recently but I do enjoy the way no one makes eye contact in the massive queue at immigration whilst all the eu passport holders fly through.

I've never been to Bulgaria but one of my mates regularly holidays there and reckons its boss.

My other half is Romanian hence my fairly regular trips out there to see family and friends. I love it there, pace of life is much more preferable to England.
Do you know Romanian now labagiu? lol

Joke aside - it's more of the same, outside of Sofia. When I go back to my hometown it's like time there has stopped, even if there are crowds and all, just the calmness hits different.

I'm still going there. Maybe just for an hour lol

Yes I eat everything mate, meat, vegetarian, vegan. Any recommendations gratefully received. I guess you can recommend places for good beer too?

sounds good, i'll try sort a bit of a list tonight. Not been in two years for obv reasons but other than that, it should be fairly up to date.

Yep, 90% of our time there is food and drink

Although my best story is my gf finding a £400 designer chair in a skip. Me taking it out, walking across Copenhagen with it to our Airbnb, wrapping it in loads of binbags and talking it back with us. Paid for the whole trip, in a way
