It certainly felt like a sellout. The atmosphere was electric before the game, never felt it like that again :/

Easily the greatest moment i've ever had the privilege of witnessing at Goodison.

I can tell you that even the Top Balcony was absolutely bouncing that night, i've never seen/heard/felt anything come close to that night.

Was right there in the Lower Gwladys and I'm still there to this day, I'll never forget that sweet night. It was made sweeter when Neville got sent off for kicking the ball at a supporter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't that game the first and only time Howard ever played at Goodison for United?

Dowd was the ref that sent Neville off, best ref in the prem,IMO.

As a blue of 33 years young, with a Dad who was there during the glory years and regularly tells the story of how he was there at the ECWC semi at Goodison, it was nice to experience that night to understand what the 85 semi must have felt like.

Never forget going into work the next day and talking to a Utd fan, he was a true fan like, had MUTV but never been to Old Trafford. Anyway, he was saying on telly that all you could see in the crowd was angry faces, even reaching out and grabbing at Utd players. He couldn't believe the passion shown and the bear pit type atmosphere.

We properly rattled them that night and Duncan, bullying Rio to the point where he looked like he might break down into tears, was just the epitomy of the club on that night and so fitting he scored the goal to win it.
