Heh, it means I've got a 1 in 35 chance of being loaded. Got to be worth a shot and much better odds than the lottery.

Rich people live in London? Really? Blimey.

1 in 35, tho'...

This is the 1% Occupy talk about, except in London it's 3%.

I'd support it if there were benefits to low-to-middle incomes, but with rents skyrocketing and London travelcards costing more than twice what they did only a few years ago it's driving low-earners out.

Using the USD kind of makes sense, but it's broken.

For example, I cannot for the life of me figure out what I would need to make in the UK in GBP to have a comparable quality of life as I do here. Housing seems ridiculously expensive, but salaries are much lower (in pure numerical figures).

So to say someone in London is a millionaire in USD is not terribly different than saying I'm a millionaire in Yen - it doesn't change my lifestyle.

Not following that, RB. Dollar is worth something, the Yen is not even worth a penny.

I know if I had 600k in assets my life would be drastically different, regardless of whether I lived in London or elsewhere.

Yeah, it's well-off, but the millionaire point is misleading.

Making 100k USD in London is not equivalent to making 100k GBP.
