At this rate we're looking at 42 points for the season.

Getting a tad worried now.

Someone reassure me please?

5 of our last 6 league games have been against teams expected to be competing for European spots.

We won at Craven's Cottage, which is generally a difficult place to play. The game against the ****e, we might of won had we not been screwed by the ref. Even today we played relatively well and were unlucky not to get anything. At Man City things might have also gone the other way had we not had that throw given the wrong direction, other than that we did well in that match.

Aside from Arsenal, we have a good run of games coming up until February that we can win.

There's nothing at all to worry about.

Go and look at our fixture list between now and February. We'll be safe by the time we play Manchester City.

And I'm a notorious pessimist on here apparently. If I'm not worried, nobody else should be.

The worst that will happen is we'll finish 12th or something.

No matter how bad things look, there's a bare minimum of seven worse teams than us, and at least four dramatically worse teams than us.

We'll probably do the exact same as usual, start of sh*te until December then kick off and nearly get to Europe/finish 6th or 7th and wonder about what could have been.

Mate, the teams currently beneath us:-
Wigan - worse than us, doomed.
Bolton - expect them to rally.
Blackburn - as above
Wolves - pretty dire agreed.

So that's only 2 teams I would say are in a worse state than us right now?

seventh or sixth place finish, not in the slightest worried about relegation, have no in 10 years now, in fact I can only count two seasons in the mid-90's as an evertonian were I was genuinely concerned about relegation.

And you don't expect us to rally?

Hang ion we have not done well against the type of teams we were expected to beat earlier in the season.
Lose next two games and I reckon we are doomed. Did yiou see the subs bench today.

We'll finish above all four of them. The fixture list has done us in more than anything, we're not in a bad state we've just had a Champions League standard opposition one after the other. We beat the only side that weren't of that standard, which tells you all you need to know.

We'll finish above Swansea, Wolves, Wigan, Blackburn, QPR, Norwich, Bolton, Fulham and West Brom. That puts us 11th, with a one place modifier for worst place scenario of 12th if one of those sides vastly exceeds expectations.

We're nowhere near relegation this year. Two or three years from now, different story.

From the same games last year (QPR not included as they we didn't play them) we got 11 points. This season we got 10 points.

People will point to our 4 defeats in late september/october (having been unbeaten in the same ones last season), but against Blackburn, Fulham, Wigan and Villa we got 3 points last season, and 10 points this season.

We won't be relegated, nowhere nere. I'd be happy with top half, expect to finish around 12th.

Also, our good record over the champions league teams in recent seasons, was bound to end eventually, even against United (h) and City (A) last season we didn't play particuarly well, and scrapped results.
