They actually will be like new signings I reckon. Then when they come back from the ACN they'll be like new signings all over again yippeee! You can shove your arabs up your arse...........

Yobo is a waste of wages at this point but I'd welcome the Yak back with open arms.

He's still, all things considered, our best striker in my opinion.

Were the exact details of Yakubu's bust-up with Moyes ever explained here? Anyway, considering the fact we've started three games with a lone striker, Yak is a welcome re-addition. Almost like a player being newly purchased, or something. I just hope we don't see the same guy that stood in the centre circle during his last few months at both Portsmouth and Middlesborough, all of a sudden incredibly interested in his cuticles. He can hold the ball up well, work the channels, etc., and is the only player in our squad capable of playing without a strike partner.

Yobo... meh. I like him as a professional, and he's a better CB option than Neville or Hibbert when our inevitable injury crisis hits. But I think the three senior CBs we currently have, plus, hopefully, one of the two or three teenagers that might have a bit of potential, is an adequate number. Still, since it doesn't seem likely that anything we get from his potential sale would be re-invested in the squad, I guess it doesn't really matter.

something to do with contract offer, then injury (was it at spuds).

Might get some effort out of Yak, should he stay as he walks away FOR FREE !!!! in less than 12 months. So has a reason to put some graft in to get himself a new club and a great big signing on fee.
Not selling will actually cost us a lot more, he walks after we pay him for the remainder of his contract. Not sure what is going on with Joey, am amazed no one else has been after him after the Turkish move fell through. Sounds he had a solid season.
