I lived in a bloody magnificent little village called 'Baldwinsville', in Upstate New York, just north of Syracuse, on the Eerie canal. Loved it there. Proper little American old times place.

The mousakka is pretty good, but I'm quite happy with a chunk of kufte or kebabche!

Know the place! Grew up on Long Island.
Once again, welcome and enjoy the ride

Weird, but I'd drive to New York, just to have a drive about, through up to Montauk, etc. I used to work away, so had weeks to kill! It was either that, or camping up in the Adirondacks!

I was in Bulgaria a few years ago.. Great place to go for a break.. you'd get well pissed on 10 quid.. I don't know if it's still like that.
Edit: just checked its a little more expensive now.. 78p for a pint.

It is still like that. Lots of poverty, but a half litre of beer is 50p. ?
I was in the tourist area sunny beach.. the equivalent of 15 pounds got us a 3 course meal each I had 4 beers and the misses had a couple of vodka and cokes and had enough change to stop for a few more drinks on the way back to the hotel.
